As per the guidelines of CBSE, our school conducted the Fitness week from 23rd Nov to 29th Nov 2019

The programme was conducted to emphasize on the physical and mental fitness of our students aiming towards their holistic development and building up a healthier, smarter and a better future. The day wise fitness schedule of the programme is as follows-

Day 1 – Yoga for all

Students were gathered in the auditorium and the school ground, class wise and separate Yoga classes were scheduled for different classes.

Day 2 – Free hands exercise & Lecture on fitness.

Students performed mass drill activities and other free hand exercise and an enlightening lecture was delivered by the head of the Dept. Science – Somesh Sir on the Kinesiology of free hands exercise, its important aspects and benefits.

Day 3 – Poster Making

Students made poster on Fit Body – Fit Mind – Fit Environment, enhancing their creativity as well as awareness. This activity enabled the students to spread their wings of imagination and fly high spreading awareness about a fit body, a fit mind and fit environment.

Day 4 – Physical Activity for Students

Some recreational physical activities like Kabaddi & Kho-Kho matches were organised for their wholesome development.

Day 5 – Quiz on Sports Fitness

A Quiz competition was organised on the fifth day of the fitness week. It emphasized testing their knowledge and awareness regarding the fitness regime.

Day 6 – Special classes on healthy food & fitness

To  sum up the awakening programme, special classes were organised on the last day on the importance of healthy food and fitness.

Overall the fitness week programme was a grand success and the students were sensitized regarding their own fitness as well as the fitness of their family members.
